Our co-operative has hosted several workshops and has documentary projects in the works. You can follow the progress on this site and also take part in the work by commenting on forums or sending materials to project coordinators.

Norhern gardening

In co-operation with the Northern Heritage association we have developed the Northern Garden (http://www.pohjoinenpuutarha.net) sites for knowledge and seed exchange for northern gardeners. Among the network of gardens of the Northern Heritage association, you can find the richest collection of northern local apple varieties. In progress we have an educational and political video publication on the field.

In 2005 the project was presented at the Sustainable World Conference in London.

Behind the forestry

Finnish example, experience, experiment
Besides the official success story in Finnish forestry there is another story. We continue with our critical look at this issue in our documentary project and seek solutions and alternatives.

Northern wooden boat

Traditions to make wooden boats for northern waters are disappearing. Our cooperative has started an documentary project for collecting this knowledge. You can follow here how is going with the project coordinators first boat and what kind of traditional knowledge we manage to face.

Rebuilding a stock made house

Moving and rebuilding old stock house for traditional home works.
We hope to have time to set clips of the prosess here.

Sharing the colours

The documentary work with natural colours continues.
We publish this spring a dvd publication which includes basics for
muchroom and plant dying. There is also an inspirating documentary from
Fungi and fibre symposium in Rovaniemi and presentation of common
muchrooms suitable for dying.
